Cycling 1500 Km for Sea Turtles!

Today I'm officially promoting my personal challenge to raise awareness of the danger that plastic poses for sea turtles, marine mammals and sea birds.

To be absolutely honest, the challenge started on the 1st of June, but I only made it official today. I wanted to make sure to set an achievable target for it.

This is my challenge:

by the 30th of September 2014 I will have cycled 1500 Km in order to raise awareness of the danger that plastic poses for sea turtles, marine mammals and sea birds.

My progress will be displayed in a chart similar to the one here below and it will be updated on a weekly basis. The chart will be positioned on the sidebar.

You can also check my profile and workouts at MapMyRide.

What am I cycling for?
As I said, I'm cycling to raise awareness of the danger that plastic poses for sea turtles, marine mammals and sea birds.

You can find a detailed analysis of this in an article we published on our website Red Sea Turtle Project.

What can you do to help?
Well, you can do several things to support our message:
  • you can learn more about how damaging plastic is for the environment and then make educated decisions for what concern the plastic waste you produce and how you recycle it;
  • you can share this challenge with your friends or you can create some of yours as well and let us know;
  • you can enrol in our Sea Turtle Awareness Specialty and learn more about sea turtles and the threats they are facing;
  • you can cheer for us all along!!!
Thanks everyone for your support!!!
